1. Summary
- No backend or cloud server. All workout data — your sets, reps, weights, and history — is stored exclusively on your device. Nothing is transmitted to us or to any server.
- No account or login. GYME does not ask for an email address, a password, or any registration.
- No Apple HealthKit integration. GYME does not read from or write to the Health app.
- Local notifications only. Reminders are scheduled and delivered directly by your device (iOS local notifications). We do not operate a push notification server, and no data is collected in connection with these reminders.
- Two third-party services. Subscriptions and purchases are processed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous purchase/transaction identifier needed to validate your purchase. Anonymous usage analytics are provided by PostHog (EU Cloud, Frankfurt), described in Section 9. No other third-party service receives data from the app.
- Exports go from your device to you, not to us. If you export your data as a JSON file, that file is created on your device and shared using Apple’s standard share sheet (e.g. AirDrop, Files, email) — at your choice. GYME does not upload this file anywhere.
2. What Data GYME Collects
2.1 Workout Data (stored locally only)
GYME stores the workout information you enter — exercises, sets, reps, weights, and your training history — directly on your device’s local storage. This data is used solely to power the app’s features, such as tracking progressive overload over time. We do not have access to this data, and it is never sent to any server operated by us or anyone else.
2.2 Purchase Data (via RevenueCat)
When you start a free trial, purchase a subscription, or make an in-app purchase, this is processed through RevenueCat, a third-party service that manages subscription billing on our behalf. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and your App Store purchase receipt in order to validate and manage your purchase and to check whether your subscription is active. GYME does not send your workout data, personal identity, or any other app content to RevenueCat — only what is necessary to process the transaction.
2.3 Analytics Data (via PostHog)
GYME sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, a product analytics service. This is described in detail in Section 9.
2.4 Data GYME Does Not Collect
- We do not access Apple Health data.
- We do not use advertising SDKs and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information, because the app has no accounts.
- We do not have a server, so there is no remote database, backup service, or admin panel where your workout data is stored or viewable by us.
